WASHINGTON DC: The Trump administration has found a loophole that will enable it to rename another major public building in the US capital after the US President.

The White House has announced a name change for the landmark Library of Congress on Capitol Hill that closely reflects President Trump without actually using his name. (main picture)

White House sources said presidential staff were concerned about continuing legal and political fights over the President’s efforts to add his name to establishments such as the Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts.

“The fact is that polls suggest that voters are starting to weary of all the name changes to honour the President that have been instigated by the President,” the source said.

“That means that in the lead-up to the possible mid-term elections in November – President Trump still hasn’t decided on that one yet – we don’t want to put more voters offside, but we also need to keep the President happy.

“We believe the renamed Lie-Bribery of Congress is one way we can balance those two competing demands because the new name will immediately trigger thoughts of the President in people’s minds.

“The same goes for the name we’ve chosen for the first of the US Navy’s new Trump class battleships,” the source said. (below)

“The Library of … I mean the Lie-Bribery of Congress has been an American institution since 1800.

“It will continue to operate as it has at its site on Trump Hill, … oops, I mean Capitol Hill – we’re yet to formally announce that one.

“The only change people will notice is the new name, oh and the new burning pit we’re having installed for woke books,” the spokesperson said.
