…. been revealed?
The column that has fun with the smaller mistakes and missteps of Australia’s mainstream mediocre; that pays homage to those sweet little fishes that individually don’t amount to a full meal but collectively can cause a tummy upset over the overall state of the once great and noble craft of journalism in this country.
In this column just yesterday, we had some fun trying to dissect – without an actual autopsy – the tragic and deteriorating states of mind of those dinosaurs who compile these posts and similar articles for Media Glass House.
Seeing we pointed out that as self-proclaimed media educators, they have probably forgotten much of what they learned as tyros in the amazing craft of journalism when they had 10 times their current number of brain cells, it’s fitting that today’s (Friday’s) splash in The Sydney Morning Herald has once again sparked whatever alcohol-damaged neurons remain inside their rum-craving cerebrums.
It’s the word “reveals” that they think, their ability to do that much reduced over a lifetime well binged, that just maybe, they have a case.
They suspect “sparks” might have been a much better choice and one of our MB compilers tries to explains why: “Things are revealed; they don’t reveal things. Hanson playing tootsies with Gina Rinehart in some hugely overpriced resort that One Nation battlers can only dream about did not reveal anything. Its revelation was needed to get the negative response from other ON members. If we were all left unaware of Hanson’s European holiday as towel lady for Rinefart and giving Tommy Robinson a mental blowjob with him returning the favour with a full white wash, no-one in One Nation would be any the dumber.
“I think a paragraph inside the SMH book this morning used revealed in the correct way.”
“I hope that makes sense but I’m not really sure to tell you the truth,” he added before wandering off to the main bar fridge on the Mediocre Bytes mezzanine level at Bug HQ to seek some fortification for his thinking on the matter.
Another MB staffer added: “What also amazed us – and we think it’s far more newsworthy – is that there’s any member of One Nation smart enough to detect the fact that what Hanson does and says keeps damaging the party and losing it votes.”
