Trump calls Putin then dumps on Zelenskyy

WASHINGTON DC: The White House says US President Donald Trump (far right at left in main picture) had a lengthy phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin (just as far right at right in main picture) prior to calling for the replacement of Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Ukrainian leader has criticised a deal that would see Russian oil bought by the USA to ease fuel shortages and high prices sparked by President Trump’s war on Iran.

“President Trump was very concerned by the unprovoked, cowardly and senseless verbal attack launched by soon-to-be ex-President Zelenskyy against the brave, heroic President Vladimir Putin,” a White House spokesperson said.

“As you know, President Trump has previously been very concerned by the unprovoked, cowardly and senseless military attack and invasion launched by the aggressive, unprincipled Ukraine against the poor, downtrodden, innocent and peace-loving Russia.

“President Trump rang President Putin and spoke to him at length before making his statement calling for the Ukrainian leader’s replacement.

“President Trump assured President Putin of America’s continuing support in his effort to repel Ukrainian aggression.”

The spokesperson revealed that the phone call between the two leaders had lasted close to 90 minutes.

A transcript of the call released later by the White House revealed that President Trump spent close to two hours on the call to President Putin.

About 90 seconds was spent by President Trump assuring President Putin of his ongoing support while referencing the Russian leader’s possession of unspecified “negatives”.

The remaining 119-plus minutes were spent by both leaders giggling and whispering to the other: “No, you hang up.”
