Just when the vast majority of BUGland has collectively given up on our Zionism – sorry! – Foreign Minister, Penny Wong says something right, such as when she supports a two-state solution that is never going to happen in Israel or some new atrocity forces her to be critical of the Jewish state even though she hopes no-one will pay any real attention to it.

Which brings us to the main topic covered in our popular XOTW column today – the appalling treatment of those well-meaning flotilla folk illegally arrested in international waters and treated so, so, badly by Israel and whose actions were defended so, so badly, by the Israeli ambassador to Australia.

So you might be wondering why our XOTW judges have selected the xcrement offered by Syrian Girl (at top and below) to highlight today.

True, it’s far from the most colourful xcreta ever plopped into our prize barrel. It’s words are simple rather than overly creative and it doesn’t contain any naughty words that our judges always cherish.

But it’s a very interesting and relevant observation, especially after the 2026/27 Budget threw hundreds of millions of dollars at Australian Jewish groups for the hurt caused by antizionism, inflamed worldwide by tens of thousands of innocent kids murdered in Gaza these past 31 months, being misdirected at decent Jewish people.

But back to Wong (pictured) momentarily rediscovering her long-distance vision and being forced, no doubt very, very reluctantly, to say some things we probably guess she’s since apologised privately to those Jewish groups mentioned above.
