Last week’s public hearings by a Royal Commission seeking answers most of us already know (see bottom of column), the XOTW judges were astounded at the thunderous flurry of virtual faecal matter that poured sloppily and relentlessly into our prize barrel at the mention of just one name!
And that of course was Jillian Segal, Australia’s special envoy for combatting anti-semitism, that sadly could be on the rise for reasons we already know (see bottom of column) but Ms Segal has been unable to detect despite her exorbitant wage and staff and laser-like focus on the core of the problem.
Our judges thought Michael Wyllie’s offering (at top and below) deserved the blue riband for his short, sharp analysis of arguably Australia’s most vile Zionist except, of course, for Tim Wilson.

Spot on, Mr Wyllie. But to clear one thing up, did “dump her” involve a hessian bag and a trip out to sea?
Also squeezing out some offerings to add to Segal’s cloacal covering were Stop the GENOCIDE, Rupert’s Conscience and Jackie, giving Michael Wyllie a second mention.

Of course, Segal wasn’t the only person we needed to be very sorry for. There was also Deborah Conway, who if we heard rightly a little earlier, never experienced antisemitism growing up. Hmmm. There could be a message there for Ms Conway.

On the broader issue involved here, Coalition Tea Lady lands more faecal bombs on the heads of Anthony “Of course Segal was a fine choice” Albanese and Penny “It’s hard to see clearly from this distance” Wong.

And if just a small fraction of the things you see and read on X about what Israel is doing in southern Lebanon (and brutally elsewhere as the dream of Greater Israel becomes an evil reality) is true, then what on earth happened to Australia’s reputation for decency and a fair go? As a protector of human rights everywhere? Have we abandoned our commitment to truth, justice and the Australian way, Albo and the Wongster?
Here’s sarah. We could fill up 25 editions of this column with the atrocities Israel is committing in Lebanon, particularly the south. Millions of citizens displaced; their homes and towns, their agricultural lands destroyed. Gaza Mark 2. Believe just a fraction and we’re entitled to shake our heads that our government hasn’t blasted Bibi Netanyahu for anything he’s done since October 2023.

THE BUG’S VIEW: Maybe, just maybe, if Israel had refrained from killing many tens of thousands of innocent Gazans, including probably 30,000 children, over the past two-and-a-half-years, called a halt to the unlawful ongoing push by settlers throughout The West Bank and the Gaza duplication now under way in southern Lebanon, decent Jews around the world might have been spared the anti-zionism wrongly directed at them.
