ALBURY, NSW: One Nation heavyweights Aunty Pauline and Barnaby Joyce have had a bitter and at times almost physical stoush in front of shocked voters outside a polling booth here for today’s Farrer by-election.

Both angrily shouted at each other that they should and would be prime minister after One Nation won the next federal election due in 2028. Aunty Pauline, national leader of the white indigenous mob, screamed at Joyce, the current member for the lower-house seat of New England: “You run in the senate like you said you would!”

Joyce shouted back that as a long-term member of the House of Representatives, he had the skillset and knowledge to be the nation’s next leader. Aunty Pauline snapped back: “I’ll win any number of House of Reps in Queensland; I’m revered up there as the battlers’ champion! Besides, it’s not called Barnaby Joyce’s One Nation, is it?”

Joyce replied: “Not yet, anyway,” and it’s at this point in their shouting match, Aunty Pauline attempted to kick Joyce as he lay in the gutter outside the polling station.
