US Chief Justice answers critics

HERSHEY, PA: US Supreme Court Chief Justice, John Roberts, has rejected suggestions that the conservative majority of the court is doing the bidding of President Donald Trump.

News reports said Mr Roberts had defended himself and the court in a speech to a legal conference in Pennsylvania this week. (below)

Criticisms of the Supreme Court has stepped up since its recent ruling gave the green light to Republican Party states to gerrymander electoral boundaries to eliminate any chance of black Democratic Party members of the US Congress being re-elected at the November mid-term polls.

“I deny we are just an arm of the White House and are simply doing what the President for Life… I mean, what the President tells us to do,” he responded to an audience question. “That’s just fake news.”

When the audience member attempted to ask a follow-up question, the Chief Justice yelled at them: “Shut up. Shut up piggy.”

He then threw off his judicial robes and exited the stage, dancing awkwardly to the tune of the Village people’s hit YMCA. (main image)

WASHINGTON, DC: Questions have arisen about the authenticity of the so-called “suicide note” allegedly written by the late child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein following its release on a US court order.

Numerous forensic experts specialising in handwriting analysis have been poring over the publicly available images of the handwritten note.

The scrawled nature of the handwriting has sparked debate about its contents, but several experts have insisted that the note is a fake.

“It was more than likely written by some so-far unidentified person other than Jeffrey Epstein in my expert opinion,” said one analyst who did not wish to be identified.

“Most likely it was someone involved in Epstein’s death, probably someone who feared being implicated in his sex crimes.

“I’m convinced of that because the last scrawled line says ‘Thank you for your attention to this matter’ and that’s not a phrase Epstein was known to ever use,” the expert said.
