BUG staff assigned to its two media review platforms – The Media Glass House and Mediocre Bytes – have been placed on suicide watch after they were shattered to find sub-editors at The Sydney Morning Herald have once again fucked up what should be a basic production task: knowing how any edition is folioed.
At least one of those staffers has already tried to kill himself by overdosing on Bundaberg rum and remains dangerously pissed in a Brisbane hospital. And at the Bug’s HQ, all sharp objects have been removed from the staff canteen kitchen drawers seeing all other colleagues remain in the pits of total despair after hoping for some weeks that a years’ long campaign to get the subbing clowns at the Herald to do the right thing had been finally achieved.
And the reason for their now clearly devastated hopes? For those last three weeks, all editions of the Herald and its sister Sunday got it perfectly right when a Hardly Normal wraparound led to the inside fake cover page being numb ered as page 3. The usual suspects at fucking that up over the years have been the Wednesday and Friday night subs where stories that flowed inside the book from that page 3 originated from the cover page (WRONG!), the front page (WRONG!) or worst of all, from page one (ABSOLUTELY WRONG!). Or as these subbing clowns wrong would probably put it – (MOST WRONGEST). And over recent times, Friday and Sunday editions with dear, darling, humanitarian Gerry’s wraparound have all been very well-behaved.

Just a quick reminder of what we’re on about here before we show you the latest piece of subbing stupidity…

Ready now for the latest example by these fucking dills? Well, at least one of them on Sunday night.

FROM PAGE FUCKING ONE!
So the campaign resumes. Sadly. We’ll start resending the SMH’s subs up-to-date variations ofalsthe graphic below to help them one day become newspaper production professions.

And we’ll try to retrieve from our industrial bin the fridge magnets we made but stupidly thought we had no use for.
