With the world looking like it’s going to hell in a handbasket, we all need a good laugh. And while by its very nature, the excrement that plops into our putrid Xcrements-of-the-Week prize barrel is often rather distressing – and even funny memes can’t really camouflauge the horrors they are mocking – some X offerings just give us some respite with little thought needed; a little chuckle to add a little sparkle to a day otherwise smothered in dross.

Which is why our XOTW judges for this second look at the virtual faecal flak that came the way of our barrel last week decided to highlight the two offerings (shown at top and below) from JayJay and Quentin Dempster.

Don’t you agree, BUGgers? Any photo of these two clowns brightens a day, and they don’t have to be lying pissed as a fart near a planter box or shown in their red budgie-smugglers. Tell me you don’t miss the Mad Monk doing that parrot thing with his tongue whenever he thought he was saying something clever, which was all the time.

Another current and far-from shining light in Australian politics is of course chuckle-inducing Anus Taylor – we really must find out the date, time and place of his upcoming standup performances because we’re told he’s best seen live – but in the meanwhile, here’s Bob Carr and Metta Bhavan “officialfineprint…

And we couldn’t leave Australia’s incoming prime minister at the next election out of the mix, could we? So here’ a fine cloacal covering on the national leader of the white indigenous One Nation peoples from some chap named Tony Windsor.

We use xcrement from Windsor a lot. He always makes sense and there isn’t a person at The Bug who doesn’t think he would have made a fine federal politician!
