Fergie lends a hand

His Non-Royal Highness Prince Andrew has already started rebuilding his life after settling the lawsuit that has damaged his public image and standing in recent years.

My Buckingham Palace sources tell me that the Duke of York has been supported in his efforts by his ex-wife Her Non-Royal Highness the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson.

“You must remember that both the Duke and Duchess of York have remained firm friends even though they divorced many years ago,” my source said.

“So it has been no surprise to serious royal watchers that she has been the one to secure him a new job after he was dumped from the list of working royals by his mother, her Majesty the Queen.

“It was Sarah who worked the phones as soon as she heard that her ex-husband faced the prospect of having no income.

“She soon teed up a job for him, admittedly a rather low profile one, at the Pizza Express outlet at Woking where he is now the evening duty manager. (main picture)

“The Duchess, being the Duchess, also took the opportunity to secure some work for herself as a spokesperson for the popular fast food chain and we will soon see her feature in a Pizza Express advertising campaign for an undisclosed fee,” my source said. (pictured below)

I’m reliably informed that the Dutchess personally herself has designed a special pizza in the shape of a foot and five toes that people are just going to love sucking on, let alone eating.

Other royal sources told me that Her Majesty the Queen was “delighted” that HNRH the Duke of York had found work and that HNRH the Duchess of York had been able to use her contacts and skills to help him out.

“The Queen has told close confidantes that she looks forward to making good use of the family discounts available to Pizza Express staff now that her son is on their payroll,” a member of the royal household told me.

“Not many people know it, but Her Majesty loves their Sloppy Giuseppe pizza with its spicy beef, green pepper, red onion, mozzarella and tomato topping.

“She can’t resist them and the Pizza Express delivery van has been almost a fixture at Windsor Castle during the pandemic lockdown.

“The only drawback is that the spicy beef does play havoc with her digestive system and her only complaint is that after eating one she has to spend the next few days on the throne,” my source said.
