Royal-ish pair keeps busy

Their Former Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will use their upcoming interview with US TV star Oprah Winfrey to outline their busy lifestyle in the year since “stepping back” from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family.

My Buckingham Palace sources tell me that Prince Harry and his wife, the former Meghan Markle, want to use the interview to answer their critics who claim they made a big mistake by relinquishing their formal royal roles and responsibilities.

“Prince Harry and Meghan will use the interview to take a look back at what they have achieved in the past year outside the royal inner-circle as well as outline plans for the years ahead,” one royal confidant told me.

“As part of building their future public image the pair will use the Oprah Winfrey interview to reveal that they will be starring in the next US series of Dancing With The Stars,” (main picture)

“Their involvement in the show is part of their carefully considered strategy to continue making significant and meaningful contributions to public life.

“It is no secret that both Harry and Meghan were stung by the recent news that many of their formal royal appointments and responsibilities have now been withdrawn by Her Majesty the Queen and redistributed to the other ‘working’ members of the Royal Family.

“They intend to raise their concerns but are naturally both quite apprehensive and nervous about confronting such a powerful woman.

“Still, having spoken to the Queen about it first the Oprah interview should be a doddle,’ the source said.
