WEATHER PRESENTING: The Australia Broadcasting Corporation switchboard has been flooded with calls asking News Breakfast weatherman Nate Byrne to “step up to the plate” and “show us what you’re made of!” in Monday morning’s show.
The countless calls, some too ribald to repeat in Australia’s No1 family internet newspaper, followed what appeared to be Australia’s first nude weathergirl presentation on Channel 9 Sydney’s 6pm news by Belinda Russell on Saturday night (pictured above).
Nate rang The Bug earlier today to say: “Let’s see what I can come up with” with what we could only imagine to be a twinkle in his eyes to match his gorgeous dimples.
Affliction no laughing matter
HEALTH: GP clinics and hospital outpatients along Australia’s eastern seaboard have been inundated with people suffering from COE, or Chronic Oceanic Euphoria, where victims simply can’t stop wetting themselves from uncontrollable laughter.
A medical expert explained the phenomenon to The Bug: “COE is also known as Jacques Cousteau Condition and there’s always a high spike in COE cases presenting on any weekend where the Manly Sea Eagles and the Cronulla Sharks are both given terrible hidings in the NRL.
Protest meeting over Alberici’s departure
MEDIA: Australian Broadcasting Corporation staff wishing to protest at the terrible circumstances surrounding the departure of Emma Alberici are being called to a hastily arranged meeting for 2pm today (Sunday) in inner-Sydney.

The meeting will be chaired via Zoom by ABC head honcho Ita Buttrose, accompanied by the ABC’s paymaster.
