WASHINGTON DC: The White House says President Donald Trump is very pleased with the outcome of his first flight on board the new Air Force One presidential aircraft.
Mr Trump flew on the new plane, a Boeing 747 worth US$400 million donated to him by the Middle Eastern nation of Qatar, after it was converted by the US Air Force to meet Secret Service standards at an estimated cost of US$1 billion.
The aircraft, which flew the President to a Make America Great Again rally in North Dakota before returning to Washington, sports the new livery designed by President Trump to project the image of himself and his administration that he wants the US and the world to see. (main picture)
“The President said he felt he was right at home in the new Air Force One which he believes meets his standards for his personal air travel much better than the older 747s in the fleet,” presidential press secretary Karoline Leavitt screeched at reporters at a White House briefing. (below)

“His only complaint is that the cabin decor does not contain sufficient gold fittings, a problem which the Air Force is correcting as we speak.
“The USAF says the extra few tonnes of gold filigree wall decorations and other ornaments and adornments will cost several more millions of dollars and cause massive extra fuel costs and far more greenhouse gas emissions, but who the hell cares about that?”
Photos posted to social media from the inaugural flight included shots of President Trump’s personal office on board the plane. (below)

“The President found the office and the aircraft’s communications system worked very well for him and he was able to talk to his sons Don Junior and … ahhh… the other one from 40,000 feet who certainly did not advise him on several current big deals they are doing on crypto currency and meme coins.
“He also wasn’t briefed by Jared Kushner on family real estate deals under way in the Trump Riviera formerly known as Gaza.”
Ms Leavitt said at the end of the trip the President arrived back in Washington “in the peak physical and mental state we are accustomed to seeing”. (below)

“The President is very happy with the new Air Force One and is looking forward to using it for many more trips for the remainder of his terms,” she said.
