MEDIA NEWS:
NEW YORK: Far-right US media mogul, Rupert Murdoch, has been undergoing extensive tests by a team of ear, nose, and throat specialists in preparation for a flying visit to Australia.
The Bug’s New York bureau can confirm that the tests on the 117-year-old Mr Murdoch (main picture) have focussed on his sense of smell to ensure it is in peak condition.
“Rupert plans to board his private News Crap International jet in the next few days and make the trip to Sydney where he will hold meetings with his senior Australian executives,” a source within News Crap International in New York told The Bug.
“Essentially he’ll be sniffing the wind to see if he can detect any reason to formally shift News Crap Australia’s allegiance from the Liberal Party to Pauline Hanson’s One Nation.
“That’s why his nose, nasal passages, and other upper-respiratory tract passages and tissues need to be in tip-top order.
“It’s well known that over the years – nay, decades – Rupert has shown an amazing talent for sniffing the political wind and shifting the political loyalties of his various media outlets to give him and his commercial interests the best financial returns possible.
“We’ve all seen that in the US where his Fox News network shamelessly tells lies itself or retails the blatant lies of President Donald Trump with the single aim of maintaining its profitability by catering to the MAGA crazies even if it means sacrificing truth, social cohesion, and democracy itself.
“In recent months we’ve seen the Murdoch media Down Under make every effort to talk up the sort of policy-free outrage peddled by Pauline Hanson and her One Nation party to help deliver more readers to its various turdbloid newspapers and more eyeballs to its Sky News shows which all means they can charge more to advertisers.
“Rupert is also very interested in Pauline Hanson’s idea to transform the ABC into a subscription service – something he believes he can help her achieve by buying and running it, or better still, being given it.”
The source said Mr Murdoch would himself make the final decision on whether or not News Crap Australia would totally editorially invest in One Nation and abandon its current subsidiary, the Liberal Party of Australia.
“Although Rupert supposedly retired as News co-chair a few years back, he still calls the shots and the decision is his to make,” the source said.
“But he will weigh up advice from other independent observers such as the Sky News ‘after dark’ team of commentators.
“He will also be listening to the supposedly official head of News, his son Lachlan, and of course the CEO of Sky News, Paul Whittaker. (both far right below)
