LONDON: Scotland Yard and Buckingham Palace are probing an apparent breach of security at the annual Trooping the Colour marking King Charles III’s official birthday.
A royal spokesperson said the alarm was raised part-way through the day’s events when an unidentified woman was detected after infiltrating the royal inner-circle including the motorcade carrying members of the King’s family to Buckingham Palace. (below)

At the palace the mystery woman joined the royals in their traditional appearance on the building’s balcony where they waved at crowds and watched a Royal Air Force flyover. (below)

“The King noticed something was amiss and was seen asking his son and heir Prince William about the identity of the woman,” the spokesperson said. (main picture)
“It was then that the woman, who by then was heavily sweating at the prospect of being discovered, fled the balcony and the police and royal security officers are continuing to search for her.”

WASHINGTON DC: US President Donald Trump remains locked in a marathon emergency meeting of the US National Security Council in the heavily fortified situation room underneath the White House.
The meeting began on Saturday morning Washington time after emergency messages were sent out to summon key presidential advisers, the US military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the heads of various homeland security agencies.
A White House spokesperson said the meeting was showing no signs of breaking up soon but ruled out the possibility that it would determine any new tactic to use against Iran in the ongoing conflict over the Strait of Hormuz.
“No, no, no. That’s not what they’re discussing,” the spokesperson said. “The President called the meeting to determine a military response to ensure his name is replaced as soon as possible on the Kennedy Centre in Washington.
“So far the meeting has been considering the landing of US Marines by helicopter in the grounds of the centre who would reinstall the President’s name.
“But a decision is yet to be made on whether that manoeuvre will be preceded by cover fire from US Navy ships currently anchored in Chespeake Bay off Maryland.”
It is understood that the meeting is not expected to end soon because President Trump keeps falling asleep for lengthy periods.

WASHINGTON DC: The Pentagon says it has isolated the problem that caused an emergency shutdown of the Washington building that serves as the administrative headquarters of US military forces.
The massive building was shut down late last week following concerns about the presence of an unidentified toxic substance. (below)

Specialised hazardous materials teams scoured the building and took samples away for analysis before staff were allowed to resume working.
“The samples have since been tested at a US Army laboratory and scientists there have identified the hazardous material that sparked the shutdown,” a Pentagon spokesperson said.
“They found exceedingly high levels – dangerously high, in fact – of toxic masculinity in and around the office of the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth. (below)

“Once we knew what the problem was we were able to end the shutdown and start to put in place protocols to deal with what we acknowledge is going to be an ongoing problem,” the spokesperson said.
