WASHINGTON DC: US President Donald Trump says he has diverted resources from the war effort in Iran to respond to the latest school shooting in Louisiana. (below)

In a rambling three-hour speech at a Make American Good Again rally in Futtbuck, Arkansas, Mr Trump said he had directed his administration to immediately send thoughts and prayers to the community of Shreveport in Louisiana where a gunman killed eight children ranging in age from one to 14 and injured two other people before being shot dead by police.
Mr Trump said had ordered that Shreveport should receive the thoughts and prayers previously earmarked to respond to the deaths of almost 170 school children in a 28 February US Tomahawk missile strike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Tehran on the first day of the war with Iran.
“We never sent thought and prayers to Tehran after that attack – I mean why would we? – so we had a stock of T&Ps, as I call them, ready to roll and I have sent them to Louisiana,” Mr Trump told the dwindling crowd towards the end of his speech.
He said in line with new federal government procurement practices he had imposed, the thoughts and prayers for Shreveport would be sent via a range of merchandise purchased from his Donald Trump Make America Good Again online store. (main picture)
“Nobody sends thoughts and prayers like I do. People tell me that I send the best thoughts and prayers of any president, ever,” he said.
“When it comes to supporting people and communities in need I am without a doubt the most thoughtful and responsive person who’s ever occupied the White House, or the Donald J Trump Gold House as I’ll soon be renaming it.
“Sleepy, senile, sex pest Joe Biden never had a thought in his head and he hasn’t got a prayer now that he’s been diagnosed with prostate cancer.”
Later when questioned by reporters on board Donald J Trump Air Force One returning to Washington, Mr Trump refused to acknowledge the change in his Make American Great Again slogan to Make America Good Again which has been widely viewed as a move to lower expectations of voters ahead of the November mid-term elections.
“That’s fake news,” he said. “There’s been no change in the slogan. It has always been from day one Make America Good Again.”
When pressed on that point Mr Trump yelled “Shut up piggies” at reporters before walking away.
