So, my dear and faithful flock, does our Prime Minister Anthony Albanese have what it takes – for the sake of the kiddies present I’ll call them cojones – to respond in a forceful and appropriate way to US president Donald Trump for calling him “retarded” and “a sad little man”?

That this house of God is full this morning, I’d like to humbly think, is because your local shepherd preaches only the truth from this spot and that’s why I checked earlier on this sacred sabbath day to make sure that the biovating, bellicose buffoon and babbling baboon, that blithering idiot, bomb-throwing, bombastic, boastful, bullshit artist and braincell-deprived bozo, that comb-overed bald spot who occupies the White House did indeed upload those comments to his Untruth Social website.

And it was indeed Donald Trump who did that, my AI friends have confirmed. What a cunt, hey? Sorry, kids. Creep! What a creep!

And even more importantly, how would our Lord and Master want Australia’s leader to respond to this never-before-heard level of diplomatic bastardry.

“And he’s still a cunt,” a number of young voices at the rear of the congregation called out.

Well, all Australians should be as proud as punch because Albanese has hit back hard, giving the proverbial both-barrels by saying he doesn’t do running commentaries of what the president of the United States has to say on specific issues and to simply restate that “the relationship with our oldest ally remained as resolute and as strong as ever”.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong quickly reloaded in support of her leader, pointing out that she was a little too far away to read properly what the leader of the free world had posted.

And The Bug understands Defence Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles had meant to say something along similar lines before the feed of this morning’s edition of ABC’s Insiders went blank on screens around the nation when the camera operators and sound technicians on the Insiders set, along with moderator David Speers and his panel of three politics journos, all fell into a deep and restful sleep midway through Marles’s studio interview with Speers.
