A radical overnight change in the appearance of former US President Donald Trump is being touted as evidence of the impact the selection of Governor Tim Walz as Vice-President Kamal Harris’s running mate has had on the US presidential election campaign.

But Mr Trump denied the change in his personal image was a panic move made in direct response to Ms Harris’s choice of Governor Walz to join the Democratic Party’s ticket for the November election.

In fact Mr Trump flatly denied that there had been any change at all in his appearance.

“Nope. No change. Nada,” he told reporters. “It’s ridiculous to suggest that I’ve changed my appearance just because Crooked Sleepy War Criminal Tim Walz has been picked by Krooked Stupid Laffin’ Kamala-Toe as her partner in crime. And I mean ‘partner in crime’ literally.

“I look just like I’ve always looked. Just like the stable genius I am. Anything else you might say or write is just fake news.

“It speaks to the low standards the fake news media and the Dumocrats bring to this campaign.”

Mr Trump also vehemently denied reports that he had directed his own Republican Party vice-presidential nominee, Senator JD Vance, to shave off his beard and undergo a rapid intensive series of sun-bed sessions to darken his skin.

“No, that’s not true either,” Mr Trump said. “It’s all just rumours and fake news. JD has always been black, unlike Low-IQ Kolor-Kard Kameleon Kamala-Toe.”

Mr Trump said he blamed both the Vice-President and Governor Walz for spreading the rumours.

“These are weird people on the other side,” Trump said.
