Bennett deflects blame

SPORT:

South Sydney Rabbitohs coach Wayne Bennett has refused to accept any blame for his team’s shock 50-0 loss to the Melbourne Storm in the NRL last night.

The wiley 71-year-old master coach used his post-match media conference (above) to mount what is known across a range of popular Australian sports as the Morrison defence.

“I don’t pass or catch or kick a ball or tackle anybody, mate,” Bennett said.
