ENTERTAINMENT:
The Bug continues to uncover rising new stand-up comics who one day will challenge Australia’s current crop of stars. And give further support to those we’ve spotted already and remain convinced can make it to the very top.
Today, we revisit the emerging career of Brisbane’s very own Peter Gleeson. We first heard “Gleeso” taking turns with panelists on Sky After Dark to riff with some hilarious anti-Labor material.
And after we read his column in Brisbane’s Sunday Mail yesterday, we booked a small and intimate room at the Story Bridge Hotel for last night and begged him to try out some of that material before a live audience once more. Naturally enough, he was a hit and publican Richard Deery would have him back any time.
SO PLEASE WELCOME BACK TO THE STAGE … PETER GLEESON!
