SPORTS RORTS AFFAIR:
The probe by Canberra’s top public servant Philip Gaetjens into the sports rorts scandal has cost more than just Bridget McKenzie’s ministerial job.
Bunnings Warehouses is reporting that all of its three Canberra outlets and two others in the ACT have sold out of their four-litre tins and 20-litre tubs of popular white wash.
While that might sound good news for the hardware and garden supplies megastore, it fears tradies and DIY homeowners throughout the ACT and beyond will find alternative permanent sources for their white wash supplies.
Bunnings has put up signs (at top) at its five ACT outlets and has promised customers it will restock its white wash product range as quickly as it can.
“Two tradies called Scottie and Phil came into our stores over recent days and simply bought every tin and can of white wash we had on our shelves and in our storerooms,” a Bunnings spokesperson told The Bug.
“One of our young lasses got pretty excited because she thought the Scottie was Scott Cam but I don’t think it was.”
