Look out, Judith Lucy! Your mantle as Queen of Australia’s female standups is under serious threat after The Bug took in the debut performance of a Queensland mum whom we believe will go a long, long way in the profession.

After we saw some of her written work in a Sunday paper in Brisbane, The Bug booked an intimate venue in the city last night and begged her to try out her lines live.

She explained that most of that material was written for her by that paper but The Bug still believed she would be able to deliver them brilliantly in standup.

And what can we say. She slayed an appreciate crowd and, listen up Judith Lucy, didn’t mention her vagina once – well, at least not directly and in the sort of gruesome detail you seem to like dwelling on.
