Tamil family granted citizenship!

CANBERRA: A dramatic change of heart by Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton this morning will see the Tamil family of married couple Nades and Priya and their two Australian-born  daughters Kopika and Tharunicaa released immediately from Christmas Island and free to live permanently in Biolela, the Queensland town that has come to love and embrace them.

Mr Dutton’s decision to grant the family permanent residence in Australia instead of being deported to Sri Lanka was taken after the family took legal advice and changed their surnames overnight to Au Pairs.
