DALLAS TX: Embattled Texas Republican Senator James Paxton (far right at right in main picture) is battling new accusations that he has used “a highly offensive” four-letter word when making derogatory remarks against President Donald Trump.
Multiple polls have shown Paxton is under intense pressure from Democratic Party opponent and member of the Texas State Legislature, James Talarico.
Many pundits expect Talarico to win the Texas Senate seat off Paxton at the November mid-term elections.
Paxton has already stirred controversy with his reported comments openly blaming his potential defeat on 3 November on Trump’s unpopularity, the President’s incoherent war on Iran, its impact on fuel prices which have eroded voters’ household budgets, and Trump’s insistence on campaigning in Texas at Make American Great Again rallies despite his historic low approval ratings.
New reports have now claimed that claim Paxton used “a highly offensive four-letter word” in an overheard conversation to describe the President who continues to visit Texas and talk up himself and his war on Iran.
“Ken Paxton is in a no-win situation – much like the US is when it comes to the Iran war,” one observer of Texas politics who did not wish to be identified said.
“The President is dragging down the Senator’s vote, yet he keeps visiting the state, holding rallies, and making bragging, long-winded meandering speeches that simply erode the Republican vote even more.
“So I can fully believe that Senator Paxton used such a shocking and derogatory word to describe the President,” the observer said.
For his part Senator Paxton said he had not insulted the President with his latest remark.
“I certainly did use a word I usually don’t utter but it was simply an acronym (below) expressing my thanks to President Trump for being the most brilliant US President ever, for his visionary national leadership, and for his unrivalled oratory skills, and his hugely popular presence on the Texas campaign trail,” Senator Paxton said while visibly choking back vomit.
