For the very unlast time, sub-editors at The Sydney Morning Herald have badly fucked up, having no fucking idea how the edition they were working on was folioed. And for the very unlast time, we at the Media Glass House are battling suicidal feelings after stupidly thinking our educational campaign over some years had finally been heeded, with the Herald getting page numbering right for the past three weeks. Oh, what fucking idiots we were!

We’re talking about yesterday’s (Thursday’s) SMH with its usual Hardly Normal wraparound where the faux cover page on page 3 was numbered PAGE FUCKING THREE!

So having plopped down their lazy, incompetent arses on Wednesday arvo/night, at least one, and maybe two,
“sub-editors” couldn’t be fucking bothered to make sure the next morning’s edition was folioed as it usually is with said wraparound.

Let’s have one more refresher!

So, BUGgers, ready to shake your heads in despondent amazement when we show you that of three yarns that flowed inside the book from page 3 that night, two were said to come from ….. PAGE ONE!

PAGE FUCKING ONE, FOR FUCK’S SAKRE! So, for the very unlast time, we’ll send this…

… to the paper’s chief sub to pass onto his team, and luckily we have some of our fridge magnets left to send as well.

And, or course, we’ll get them to do this little reminder sequence we’ve used over time, even though it’s clear they haven’t worked.

Okay, so far so good. But here’s where it continues to be tricky for SMH subs who worked on Wednesday night, so in case any of them are reading this, please give your seeing-eye dog a pat and tap the space bar on your computer once if you think the image on left was page one on Thursday’s edition and tap that spacebar twice if you think the one on the right was the first page of sport.
