THE FOURTH ESTATE:
An unnamed but relatively junior reporter at SkyLNPnews Australia is being touted internally as a likely Walkley Award winner later this year for the amazing piece of journalism shown above and below.

Asking not to be named, the young scribe told The Bug:” I knew I was on a winner the minute Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s media release was handed to me and I was asked to rework it for that online story.
“Here was a federal Opposition Leader saying the Labor Government was no good and he should be elected prime minister instead at the next federal election.
“There’s talk in the office here that the overall Gold Walkley might not be beyond my reach.
“My only regret is that I didn’t contact Dutton and ask him, why, if cost of living was going to be the major issue at that election, he and the LNP Opposition have consistently opposed just about every Albanese Government measure taken to reduce those cost-of-living pressures, except the changed personal income tax rates that they’ve more or less vowed to tweak anyway to favour those on high incomes.
“I know my superiors would have wanted me to do that.
“I hope that oversight doesn’t ruin my chances for the Gold Walkley.”
The Bug proudly presents the Walkley award contender below…. all five pars of it.
Australian families can’t ‘afford three more years’ of Labor: Peter Dutton
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton says he doesn’t think Australian families can afford three more years of a “bad” Labor government.

The Opposition Leader addressed the nation’s cost of living crisis.
“The government continues to spend; they continue to tax,” Mr Dutton said during a media conference on Wednesday.
He said Australians are “really suffering” from decisions made by the Albanese government.
“The government’s making it harder, not easier, for families.”
