NSW POLITICS:
A veteran political operative with experience working on elections around the world has jetted into Sydney to prepare for the March 2023 NSW state poll.
Laura Norder arrived in Sydney from Melbourne early this morning on board a private jet belonging to News Crap Australia. (main picture)
Ms Norder spoke briefly to The Bug after landing at Sydney Airport, explaining that her time was limited and she needed to head straight to a Liberal Party election strategy meeting at News Crap Australia’s Holt Street headquarters at Surry Hills.
“I’ll be featuring front and centre in the coming Daily Telegraph campaign,” she said. “I’ve been involved in so many of these campaigns that it’s pretty much second nature to me.
“My most recent work was in Victoria where I was holed up in the Herald Sun newsroom where I helped to paint a picture in voters’ minds of unsafe streets and crime-ridden neighbourhoods thanks to a Labor Party government that had allowed crime to run out of control.
“We did all we could but it was a bit of a struggle so in the end we essentially labelled Premier Dan Andrews as a criminal by suggesting he had covered up the facts surrounding his involvement in a road crash years ago.”
Ms Norder said prior to the Victoria election she had been working in America in the lead-up to the November mid-term elections.
“My job was to work with the News Corp-owned Fox News to help scare voters shitless about crime and, by extension, black people.
“We did all we could to blame the Democratic Party for ‘out of control crime’ rates so voters would support Republican Party candidates.
“Unfortunately, like Victoria, we didn’t have great success and as soon as the election was over we dropped crime as a must-cover news issue for Fox.” (below)

Ms Norder called an end to the airport interview when she was reminded of the paradox of blaming the US Democrats for alleged lawlessness when it had been Republicans who had supported and excused ex-President Donald Trump’s assault on the rule of law itself.
“Look, I’m running late already for the strategy meeting,” she said. “We have a lot of Daily Tele front pages to design today blaming Labor for every single crime committed in the state for the past 11 years and to paint a picture of the bleak, smouldering, crime-riddled wasteland the state will be under Chris Minns as premier.
“I wonder if Minns has ever been in a car that collided with a cyclist? Or was even in the same postcode when it happened?” she mused to herself before being driven away in a News Crap Australia limousine.
