Take a bow, Bee!

For the first time in the long history of The Bug‘s tweet of the week, we have a back-up winner in Bee @BelindaJones68 (above and below).

“I’d rather shit in my hands & clap” indeed!

The Bug‘s tweet judges dips their lids to you, Bee, and as one judge said: “One more short sharp scatological attack on someone we all hate next week and Bee could very well be the Makybe Diva of this competition! She might even get competition naming rights in perpetuity.”

Bee won last week’s competition for tipping some shit on the federal Opposition as the National Anti-Corruption Commission legislation was introduced to Parliament. It’s the Glen 20 to the green Chamber stat that clinched it for her! Bee certainly has a way with words.

We hope Bee spends her two non-cash prizes wisely. Both are now not in the mail.

Our judges in fact were quite taken back with how often Insiders host David Speers and current Opposition Leader Peter Dutton featured during the past week in tweets that found their way into out tweet-of-the-week barrel.

They particularly enjoyed this response from Anthony Element @observationpt to a plug by someone called Michael Rowland for a David Speers article late last week, in which the Insiders host, we suspect, used nothing but a gut feeling honed in years at Sky News to conjure up the most dire of results if the Albanese government breaks its promise to keep the third-stage income tax cuts.

Media Analyst @MediaAnalystOz showed how easily it was to pull apart Speers’ current shallow assessment of the fate awaiting Labor if they foolishly break that tax promise….

Richard Denniss @RDNS _TAI and Michael J Wyllie @michaelJwyllie had their two-bob’s worth…

Denise Shrivell @deniseshrivell called on the ABC not to follow the commercial mainstream mediocre’s almost universal, biased, anti-Labor approach to the stage-three tax brouhaha….

… while Jacoby @adamajacoby brilliantly made a point The Bug has been hammering away at for yonks… namely that Australia’s mainstream mediocre should blush and hang their heads in shame for criticising Twitter when they’ve got so many things wrong so many times. Well done, Jacoby.

If Bee hadn’t been shitting in her hands and clapping, you could easily have been this week’s winner!

Susie @zsoozska and ShiannonCorcoran @ShianninC took Peter Dutton to task for a couple of silly things the current Opposition Leader said on Insiders and elsewhere…

For a complete change of pace, let’s look at some right royal matters. Mike Hutchinson @michaeljames947 told current British PM Liz Truss to stay out of Australia’s business!

And we’re guessing Vampire Mode @kitten4762 was reacting to the very obvious obsession by Newscorpse and some of its columnists at the moment to hound Meghan Markle to an early grave with this very supportive tweet of the poor woman.

Speaking of Newscorpse sooks, we couldn’t go past Peter Murphy @PeterWMurphy1’s wonderful sledge of Adam Creighton who we truly, roolly, hope writes or tweets shit like this because he thinks that’s what’s expected of him. If Adam is offended by that, it’s better to think that than the alternative!

And, finally, Mark Dickenson: fools repeating …. @bugwanno … had this nice take on neoliberalism.
