Dutton: Australia is at war

Home Affairs Minister, Peter Dutton, denies the Morrison Government is exaggerating the impact of amendments to government legislation covering medical evacuations of asylum seekers now held in offshore detention centres.

Mr Dutton was speaking at the launch of a new government program to subsidise householders wanting to construct a “panic room” in their homes to keep them and their children safe from what he said was the coming invasion of asylum seekers.

Standing in front of a full-scale prefabricated display “panic room” Mr Dutton has had installed outside the Prime Minister’s office in Parliament House, Mr Dutton said: “Fellow Australians, it is my melancholy duty to inform you officially that, in consequence of the persistence of Bill Shorten and the Labor/Greens axis of evil to water down our strong border protection policies,  supported sadly by gullible cross-bench do-gooders, Australia is at war.

“This ‘Invasion Bill’ passed by Bill Shorten and his Labor/Greens cohorts has opened the floodgates to waves and waves of thousands and thousands, maybe millions, of illegal arrivals who will take over the homes and suburbs and the shops and factories of innocent Australians.

“These people will be getting on boats right now and will be heading our way after being given a personal invitation to invade our beloved nation by that un-Australian traitor and possible Muslim and agent of an unknown foreign power, Bill Shorten.

“They will be arriving on our shores very soon in wave after wave of boats in scenes that will make the D-Day landings on Normandy beaches look like a couple of tinnies on a weekend fishing trip.

“Invasion Bill Shorten has given a personal open invitation to murderers, rapists, and paedophiles to come to our country, walk down our streets, and take over people’s homes, murder innocent Australians, rape our wives, daughters, and girlfriends, and fiddle with our kiddies.

“The Liberal Party will not stand for this and as Minister for Home Affairs my first job is to protect the men, women, and children of Australia.

“That’s why this government will pay 90% of the cost of a panic room any Australian family wants to install in their home to keep themselves safe from the coming horrors that Invasion Bill Shorten and the Labor/Greens axis of evil have inflicted on our nation.

“These rooms will enable families to keep themselves safe and protect the lives of their children by locking themselves away from invading hordes of terrorists, murderers, rapists, paedophiles, and sharia law.

“If Bill Shorten and the Labor/Greens axis of evil won’t stand up for Australians, the Liberal Party will.”

When asked why a family may need a “panic room” when the amendments passed by Federal Parliament clearly applied only to existing inmates of detention centres, Mr Dutton ended his news conference and locked himself in the demonstration room.
