Time to end this madness

It is indeed a sad state of affairs when the very basis of our glorious Empire, the British Royal Family, has come to be the unwilling subject of so much negative speculation and unnecessary intrusion as it is today.

The news overnight that Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales is being treated for cancer should have put an immediate end to the silly conspiracy theories that have been doing the rounds on social and other media about her whereabouts.

Instead it has given rise to even more wild assertions that the very images released with the Princess’s statement of her illness were themselves fake and actually show a stand-in being used. (main picture)

I am sorry but my close inspection of the photos and videotaped message reveal no such thing, although when I viewed the tape I was somewhat surprised that the Princess stopped part-way through her message to light up an unfiltered Silk Cut cigarette.

If there is one positive to come out of these arguments about doctored and misleading photos, it is the unmasking of the person responsible for the badly edited Mother’s Day photo of the Princess of Wales and her three children. (below)

My royal sources tell me that the perpetrator of that fake photo was none other than noted critic of the Royal Family and ex-actress, Her Non-Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex, the former Meghan Markle.

My sources tell me that the motive for HNRH was her desire for revenge at a similar trick played on her and her husband, the Duke of Sussex Prince Harry, back in 2019.

One must note that British high-society magazine Tatler has reported that global picture agency Getty is deeply concerned that the 2019 image, marking the christening of the Sussex’s then newborn son Archie and showing members of the Royal Family (below) had been “enhanced”.

News Corp International is reporting much the same thing, quoting fashion photographer Chris Allerton responding to claims that he altered the picture he took  as “a load of bollocks”.

My sources have cleared Mr Allerton of any involvement in altering the photo and have explained that the photo was issued after the Princess of Wales insisted on undertaking some editing of her own. A totally innocent, and indeed helpful and supportive gesture on her part I would say.

Yet, as usual the Duchess of Sussex took umbrage at this and has waited patiently to exact her revenge.

When will this madness end?
