The Queensland LNP government is still splashing large wads of Bananabenders’ money in TV ads touting the achievements of Premier David Crisafulli’s “new” government.

Give it a break for fuck’s sake. NEW! This government is about as new as the cardigan Greg Sheridan will be wearing for his next ABC Insiders appearance.

I’ve been told this ongoing “new propaganda” is giving former Labor Premier Peter Beattie a doughie; the Media Tart pushed what he at the time thought was the acceptable outer limit of using the public purse for party promotion and he’s amazed how this current LNP administration appears to have no qualms at all about making it permanent. Even Peter didn’t go that far!

NEW? The current Queensland government is 17.5 months into its current four-year term. That’s almost 37 per cent of its fixed lifespan.

How would you feel if you went down to your local pet shop to buy a cute Staffie pup (for simplicity, let’s say one with a 10-year lifespan) only to be presented with a mutt getting close to four years old!

You’d call in the Fair Trading people, right?
