IRAN WAR:
WASHINGTON DC: US President Donald Trump has explained his sacking of former Attorney-General Pam Bondi while issuing a chilling warning about an imminent attack by Iranian forces on the continental United States.
Speaking at a White House press briefing, President Trump said he had received confirmation from US government agencies of a missile strike on Washington DC now being planned by the Iranian regime.
Sporting the uniform of his self-appointed rank as a US Army eight-star general (main picture), Mr Trump said the Iranian strike could come “sooner rather than later”.
“I asked agencies like the CIA and others to confirm information I had received from my anonymous sources of such a strike on our homeland,” he told reporters.
“They all told me it was a credible threat. In fact they actually said it was just the latest in credible claims I have made.
“They also remarked on my sources of information, saying they were astounded at my level of intelligence. That just proves yet again what a stable military genius I am. Perhaps the greatest military leader of all time.”
Mr Trump said he believed Iran would strike at a target in Washington DC itself.
“I feel it in my bone spurs that Iran will want to pick a target that sends a message to the United States, and what could be a bigger target than the Justice Department building just up the road from the White House in Pennsylvania Avenue. (below)

“Pam Blondie [sic] did not share my view, so she had to go. It was for her own safety that I sacked her, just to get her out of the building.
“The Justice Department building has a lot of important people and a lot of important information inside so it’s a prime target.”
When questioned if he was taking precautions to protect the millions of items in the “Epstein files” stored in the building, Mr Trump said: “Oh, are they there? I didn’t know that. I’m sure they’ll be looked after.”
Mr Trump warned that an Iranian bombing of the Justice Department would likely be conducted as a “false flag” operation.
“Those sneaky Iranians will try to suggest it was the US Army that struck the building on my orders as commander-in-chief,” he said. “But you just can’t trust them or anything they say.”
