Grace, quality journalism, remain out of favour

Last week the Murdoch media group, Netanyahu Crap Australia… oops, we mean News Crap Australia, ran an item in several of its daily turdbloids critical of former Australian of the Year, Grace Tame.

Our MGH teams note that in recent times Ms Tame has been quite rightly quizzing the veracity of claims by the Israeli government and the Jewish lobby about the activities of the Israeli Defence Force in Gaza since October 2023.

She apparently, for some unfathomable reason, doesn’t believe their claims that their operations in Gaza have involved nothing more than some large-scale home renovations, akin to what Scott Cam and Jamie Durie once undertook on Network Nine’s old Backyard Blitz show.

Our MGH researchers won’t bore you with the specific issue, but Ms Tame was criticised in Netanyahu Crap… sorry, News Crap Australia’s fishwrappers by … wait for it…. the Executive Council of Australian Jewry.

The council accused her of displaying “selective outrage” in her recent public comments on Gaza.

Now, our MGH teams have no problem with a group or individual criticising someone like Ms Tame even when they totally fuck it up like our hamfisted PM did.

On the other side of the ledger, a wide range of people and organisations have criticised Israel’s activities in Gaza and elsewhere since October 2023.

Jewish organisations have in response criticised those same people and organisations. And so it goes.

Our MGH researchers believe that in our democracy – while it lasts, but that’s a whole other story – both sides have a right to criticise each other.

In the good old days, they say, media outlets would report both sides in a fair and balanced manner to allow readers to weigh up arguments and come to their own conclusions.

Not so Netanyahu.. sorry, not so News Crap Australia.

The turdbloids that ran the story blatantly took the side of the group criticising Ms Tame by sticking a headline on the item that effectively stated as fact “Tame’s selective outrage”. (main picture)

It really should have looked like this…..

Our MGH teams suspect that if Ms Tame ever bothered to complain herself about her treatment, Netenya… , we mean News Crap Australia would cast her as being difficult – and certainly not “difficult”.
