Panicked Labor shouts: where’s Harpo!

FEDERAL POLITICS/MEDIA:

Advertising for the name change from the Newscorpse hate-speech platform Sky LNPNews Australia to Spews24 (at top and below) has sent waves of panic through Labor’s federal political ranks.

They can handle the name change well enough but it was the image of the Spews24 presenters that left hearts sinking among Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his senior ministers, including one monster bowel void. And their combined angst was understandable; the absence from the pix of the one Spews24 host they credit the most for bringing Labor to power in 2022 and is likely to keep it in power for many elections to come.

“Where’s Harpo?, a number of ministers cried in anguish as they realised Rowan Dean (pictured, below, very far right) was missing from the promotional shot.

One senior minister on condition of anonymity explained the Cabinet concern: “Of all the mad as cut snakes cunts on Sky LNPNews …. sorry Spews24 … no-one is as mad a cut snake or as cunty as Dean.

“Our internal research shows his regular rants and rages against anything to do with the Labor Party have always influenced his other Spews24 hosts, particularly those with After Dark eponymous shows.

“Harpo … sorry, Dean … has always led the way in demanding the federal Liberal and National Parties continue to move to the far-right and political oblivion.

“We really need Dean to stay the course on this. If he’s left Newscorpse and Spews24, we’ll be shattered and we might even have to do some actual campaigning in 2028.”
