New party plan floated

Just days after a new Liberal Party leader was elected and just weeks after the Liberal and National parties restitched their coalition agreement, moves by some MPs within both parties are again threatening the cohesion and the very future of the two conservative parties.

The Bug can report that despite Anus Taylor’s elevation to replace Ssussan Ley, numerous conservative Liberal and National MPs remain upset that their respective parties are making no real efforts to shift more to the far right of the political spectrum.

As a result they are now openly discussing the formation of a new SNAD Party.

“We went to the 2025 federal election with a very strong far-right leader in Peter Dutton who was offering strong far-right policies,” one MP who did not wish to be named said.

“Sure, many voters got it terribly wrong when they cast their ballots, but our core constituency – Sky News After Dark – backed us all the way.

“So there is absolutely no excuse for not pursuing the same path in the current term and tacking even further to the right under the Sky News After Dark banner.

“Anus Taylor can do whatever it is he’s planning, but he needs to follow our lead and abandon the middle ground as all of our expert SNAD advisers keep telling us.

“We need to position ourselves on the far, far right instead of being a wish-washy woke replica of Labor or, heaven forbid, the so-called Teals.”

The anonymous MP said he believed the first test for the new SNAD Party would be the Farrer by-election caused by the resignation of Ms Ley after she lost the Liberal leadership.

“I’m absolutely certain that our performance in Farrer and indeed at the 2028 election will set an even more historic benchmark for a right-wing party than last year’s federal poll,” he said.
