When I heard that my colleagues over in our Media Glass House editorial hub on mezzanine level 4a had decided to get stuck into a dreadful subbing error in yesterday’s (Saturday’s) The Sydney Morning Herald, I begged them to let me run with it as I had immediately spotted it too and felt a much-needed rant coming on.

At right is the correct heading any one of the washed-up, tired, old, former subbing hacks who run The Bug and its media review columns would have keyed in – after probably a half-second’s thought to get the four decks all neatly squared away – if they had been on duty at the SMH on Friday night. The one with the green tick of approval.

Before I rant on about just how fucking awful was the splash head this so-called progressive mainstream metropolitan daily, the self-proclaimed INDEPENDENT. ALWAYS. one, thought was just peachily hunky-dory, here they are again.

Herzog should not have been invited here in the first place for probably hundreds of thousands of very innocent but also very dead reasons but he thinks he’s coming here to rekindle the Australia-Israel bond, he a fucking fool/

It was never unkindled in the first place. The Israeli president was invited here by a Zionist Australian Labor government. He’ll spend time in NSW’s Zionist Premier Chris Minns’ patch talking to Zionist survivors of the December Bondi Beach massacre with rushed-through laws ensuring this mass-murderer will run little risk of being offended by anti-genocide protesters.

Wait! Did I hear one of you BUGgers say that the Australia/Israel bond needed to be rekindled at least in one respect – when Albo finally declared himself a supporter of a Palestinian state and Bibi went ballistic? That no-brainer was resolved very, very quickly when Albo phoned Bibi and said something like: “Oy vey, Bibi, mate, I’m with you all the way on the notion that there will never be a Palestinian state. I just had to throw some red meat at my left wing to keep them happy. They seem to have this silly notion that with the monster majority I enjoy I should lead a left-leaning, reformist government led by the silly leftie I was a long, long time ago. Bibi. trust me. That’s never going to happen!”

By the way, anyone else feeling just a little nauseated at the weasel words PM Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong keep vomiting these past few weeks about the Herzog visit. It will help social cohesion. It will aid the post-mass-killing healing process. Every Bondi survivor will benefit from a Herzog hug and handshake! What a helluva human guy!

Oh, and would all decent Australians please tone down any bad feelings they might have against this Gaza genocide enthusiast, bomb signer and committed Greater Israel supporter where, seeing a Palestinian state is never, ever, going to happen, Gazans and West Bankers should do the right thing and fuck off now. Please try to forget all that about Herzog and ry to make him feel welcome in the interests of unity and harmony and how nice we Aussies basically are!

Here’s the way I see things. Too many mainstream journos/columnists/analysts see that happy, festival crowd at Bondi Beach that day as some sort of homogenous block; each and every one likely to benefit greatly from some comforting words and a hug from this Zionist arsehole.

I’ve come to the conclusion that among our nation’s Jewish population of some 100,000 plus, just like anywhere around the world, there are many, many decent Jews absolutely appalled at the way Israel has razed Gaza these past two and a bit years and tried its best to destroy a people, its history and its physical environment all under the bullshit pretext of trying to defeat 20,000 poorly equipped Hamas fighters.

But there are also those awful Jews like the repulsive Jillian “any criticism of Israel is anti-semitic!” Segal who are truly dreadful Zionist cunts just like Herzog, happily shown (below), knowing full well that missile he was autographing was far more like to lob on the heads of innocent woman and children than any Hamas soldier.

Fuck! Have I gone too far? Have those new hate laws and their serious penalties come into effect yet?
