Netanyahu joins in booing Albanese

MIDDLE EAST:

TEL AVIV: Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has taken the unusual step of booing Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese.

Mr Netanyahu punctuated a news conference in Tel Aviv by repeatedly holding up an official Israeli Government photo of Mr Albanese and booing it for lengthy periods. (main picture)

The Israeli Prime Minister’s news conference was called to outline his latest step to ease antisemitic tensions around the world by approving the establishment of 19 new West Bank settlements to displace Palestinians and block creation of a Palestinian state. (below) The settlements are deemed illegal under international law.

“Antisemitic lily-livered antisemitic nations like antisemitic Australia actively fuel antisemitism with antisemitic motions at the antisemitic United antisemitic Nations to antisemitically support an antisemitic Palestinian state,” Mr Netanyahu said, before breaking off his comments to boo the Albanese photo for a full 10 minutes.

“By contrast my government continues to act in a peaceful, reasonable, and proportionate manner to bring peace and joy to our country, our people, and indeed the entire world.

“These new settlements are not the only step we have taken to tackle antisemitism,” he said before directing further boos at the Albanese photo. “We are also continuing to ratchet up the death toll of antisemitic Palestinians to more than 400 during the current antisemitic ceasefire in force in antisemitic Gaza.

“In recent days the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) has launched attacks across the antisemitic ceasefire line that killed six antisemitic Palestinians sheltering in an antisemitic Gaza school, including an obviously antisemitic terrorist baby.

“Another four antisemitic Palestinians were killed when an antisemitic building the IDF had previously bombed collapsed in a very antisemitic manner.

“But we are also fighting antisemitism elsewhere. The IDF launched an attack on antisemitism in recent days in the West Bank that killed a 16-year-old boy.

“Does the Australian Prime Minister ever take such decisive action to fight antisemitism? No he doesn’t,” Mr Netanyahu added before again repeatedly booing the photo of Mr Albanese.
