POLITICAL VIOLENCE:
WASHINGTON, DC: US President Donald Trump says he has sent his thoughts and prayers to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in response to the Bondi Beach terror attack.
At a White House news conference Mr Trump said he was at a loss to understand how people around the world had come to believe that violence and bullying was the answer to political problems.
He said there was clearly a need for strong leaders to address the problem, adding that his popularity among Americans and around the world proved that he was such a leader.
“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?” he said.
Mr Trump went on to urge all Americans to send their own thoughts and prayers to those affected by the fatal mass shooting.
“The best way to do this is by going to my online Trump Store and buying a special MAGA cap we’ve had rushed into production overnight,” the President said. (main picture)
“Alternatively, you can buy and download my very own Trump T&P app for your mobile phone (below) which makes it so much easier to send thoughts and prayers, which I just did to the Prime Minister.

“It saves so much time. I’ve used it a couple of times just today, including for sending thoughts and prayers about the weekend shooting at Brown University in Rhode Island.
Mr Trump mused briefly on how much of the world was now deeply and dangerously divided on many political, social, and racial issues before he returned to the Brown University shootings.
“I think the name of the university might be the cause. ‘Brown’ University? That reeks of DEI. It’s just too woke,” he said. “I’m going to change it to something acceptable like ‘White’ University, ” he said.
Mr Trump then spent 40-minutes reminiscing about his own escape from being shot during the 2024 presidential election campaign and how he had been saved by God.
As he was declaring that violence, aggression and bullying were never acceptable, a reporter attempted to interrupt with a question but Mr Trump shut them down by saying: “Quiet. Quiet piggy!”
When he finished reminiscing he went on to detail the status of deadly US military attacks on alleged Venezuelan drug-running vessels, the latest response from Russian President Vladimir Putin to US suggestions that essentially require a humiliating surrender by to end the war between the two nations, and his plans to revive the proposed Gaza Riviera development “thanks to my peace deal and now that Bibi has cleared the way – literally – with only a few dozen people being killed there each day”.
