SYDNEY: NSW Police say they have located former Australian prime minister, Scott Morrison, after a search sparked by a phone call from his wife Jenny who had reported her husband as a missing person.
A police spokesperson said an emotional Mrs Morrison had rung the triple-0 service after the ex-PM failed to arrive home yesterday evening.
A NSW Police spokesperson said Mr Morrison was located this morning in the arrivals hall of Honolulu Airport in Hawaii and offered an explanation for his disappearance. (main picture)
“Mr Morrison said he had read about the massive bushfires threatening parts of NSW and jumped on a plane out of force of habit,” the spokesperson said.

CANBERRA: Secret polling has revealed the potential for a huge upsurge in voter support for One Nation over and above the swing to the far-right party seen in recent months.
The research was conducted by Newspoll in the wake of Senator Pauline Hanson’s latest stunt of wearing a burqa into the parliament. (below)

A Newspoll spokesperson said the poll showed One Nation could receive up to a 20% bump in support, but on one important condition.
“Respondents said they would easily switch their primary vote to One Nation provided Senator Hanson wore the burqa permanently and they were never again exposed to seeing her hard-set square-jawed racist empty-headed dyed-red mullet-mouthed visage ever again,” the spokesperson said.

TEL AVIV: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he is prepared to wait for a response from the nation’s President, Isaac Herzog, to his letter seeking a pardon from corruption charges.
More than a week after he formally wrote to the Israel head of state seeking a pardon, Mr Netanyahu said he was prepared to wait for a reply.
“I know that President Herzog has a lot on his plate at the moment,” Mr Netanyahu said.
“I also know he will need time to read and assess my letter, especially the bit about my idea for the possible relocation of Beit HaNassi, or the President’s House, to somewhere in Gaza with spectacular ocean views to encourage the area’s rebuilding as soon as my government reopens the border crossing to Egypt and Palestinians still alive can do the right thing and depart permanently in a prompt and orderly fashion.
“So I’m prepared to wait for him to send back the letter granting me a full pardon – a draft of which I attached to my letter to him,” he said.
