The odds of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese or Foreign Minister Penny Wong ever again sprouting a two-state solution as the only way to resolve Israeli/Gaza Strip/West Bank hostilities have blown out to billyO, according to the nation’s online bookies.

“You’ll never hear them sprouting that absolute bullshit ever again and that’s why this morning we’re offering 500-1 for any punter foolish enough to think they might do that again any time in the current term of federal Parliament,” a spokesperson for Ladbrokes told The Bug this morning.
This morning almost all agencies – Sportsbet, TAB, Palmerbet, NEDs and many others – are offering similar odds to the Ladbroke 500-1 offer with cut-off points varying only slightly.
“What were we supposed to do once we heard that media conference by former New York property developers Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, explaining the redevelopment of Gaza had been a two-year plan and getting the $50 billion from international investors needed for that had been the easiest part of the plan to come to fruition,” a NEDS source told us.
“And that the rebuild would only occur in the larger part of Gaza controlled by Israel.”
And a TAB spokesperson, just before he said he had to rush away and blow out his company’s own odds even more, said TAB would be foolish to ignore the latest news that Israel would determine who was on the international body rebuilding Gaza and even down the track the Palestinian Authority would most likely have no say at all in the enclave’s future.
And a PalmerBet senior executive added that Israel was on the cusp of annexing the West Bank and settlers and the IDF were continuing their brutal assaults on Palestinians there.
“So any one who thinks a two-state solution is the only answer to this Middle East disaster are fucking idiots are are playing with themselves!”
The Bug sought comments from Mr Albanese and Senator Wong but our calls had remained unanswered at the time this post was uploaded.
