WASHINGTON, DC: Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, (main picture) has clarified his position on a two-state solution for Palestinians in Gaza.
Following his White House news conference with US President Donald Trump outlining a 20-point peace plan at which both leaders took no questions, Mr Netanyahu was forced to expand on his position in relation to a key element of the plan.
“Let me be clear,” he said. “I support a two-state solution for Palestinians. As far as I’m concerned they can exist in two states – either alive or dead.”
Mr Netanyahu also responded to reports that at least close to 19,000 Palestinian children have been killed in Gaza by Israeli Defence Force attacks including more than 900 under 12 months old, almost 500 under six months, and others at one or two days of age. The reports also noted that Gaza now has the world’s largest child amputee population.
“I make no apologies for the fact that the IDF under my orders has managed to disarm a lot of Hamas fighters and future fighters, especially those still at school, even pre-school,” he said.
“Not only that, but we’ve also managed to dis-leg and dis-head lots of them too.”

LONDON: Unconvicted war criminal and former British prime minister, Tony Blair, has defended his suitability to fill a position envisaged in the Trump plan to oversee the administration of Gaza after a ceasefire and an Israeli withdrawal.
Mr Blair said he would welcome the opportunity to take on the proposed new job and was well qualified because he had extensive experience while in office in dealing with US presidents and shaping the future of war-torn Middle Eastern nations. (below)

“I think that when you look at what’s left of Iraq, my record speaks for itself,” he told reporters who all found no grounds to question his remark.

WASHINGTON DC: The White House has revealed why US President Donald Trump was so upset after an escalator at the United Nations’ building in New York stopped last week just as he and First Lady Melania Trump stepped onto it.
“The President doesn’t talk about it much, but he once had a very bad experience with a broken escalator,” a Trump administration insider told The Bug.
“A few years back he was using an escalator at Trump Tower in New York and it broke down when he was halfway between a mezzanine floor and the foyer.
“He was stuck there for several hours while Trump Tower maintenance staff were called to repair it, but the experience somewhat traumatised him,” the source said.
The White House insider also said that First Lady Melania Trump was still recovering from last week’s escalator incident in New York.
“The sudden stalling of the escalator meant President Trump bumped into Mrs Trump – their first physical contact for many years,” the source explained.
“This caused significant distress to, and sudden projectile vomiting by, the First Lady who has studiously avoided coming into contact with any part of the President’s body no matter how small.”
