Memorial to a looming civil war?

The focus for this week’s Xcrements-of-the-Week review are current events in the not-so-good ‘ol US of A as its decline in world standing gathers pace under Donald Trump.

Events in different parts of the country are intrinsically linked as Uncle Sam slips below the surface of a cesspit of corruption, cronyism and callous disregard for the basic rules of how a decent and fair country should behave; Trump and V.D. Dunce at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service whipping up even more division in a tragically divided nation; their Republican colleagues over in Washington and the Big Apple slamming those anthony-come-lately nations that have finally joined 150 others in recognising a Palestinian state even though it’s now too late for that.

And copping it in every which way to Sunday like a sheila in a gang-bang porno is our very own Anthony Albanese.

But to lead in to that, here’s our judges’ choice for blue riband glory this time: a meme with a poignant but simple message from Fernando Oliver, Esq. (at top and below).

Now for the bricks and bouquets tossed Albanese’s way as Australia, France, the UK and Canada finally joined the call for a two-state solution that will never happen.

Here are The Cockatoo taking a commendable positive view – and we guess anything can happen in this crazy world of ours – and Abubaker Abed quoting some chap called Macron whose missus may or may not have had original pink bits. Anyone got a Box Brownie handy?

Those alluding to the fact that media on both sides of the Pacific are right behind the GOP/MAGA base against the dreadful anti-semitic stance by all those evil, Hamas-loving, countries happy to put Israel’s very exisence in mortal danger included the media themselves – news.com.au and The Daily Telegraph ….

… as well as Katherine Deves Morgan praising Newscorpse’s Yank import James Morrow and Janey roping in Nine Entertainment Co. as part of the problem; well, at least from her viewpoint.

On more general themes were Rick Rampal and True Blue.

And if you’re wondering why this column has been suggesting that a two-state solution is dead, buried and cremated, take it away Earth Hippy and Ramy Abdu(l).
