WASHINGTON DC: The White House says US President Donald Trump has responded “swiftly and decisively” to the shooting in Minneapolis where a gunman killed two children and injured 17 after opening fire on a church service at a Catholic school.
Presidential spokesperson Karoline Leavitt (below) said in the wake of the latest deadly school shooting Mr Trump was living up to the remark he made at yesterday’s televised cabinet meeting where he referenced his recent actions to send troops to major cities to fight crime.

At the cabinet meeting Mr Trump said: “I have the right to do anything I want to do. I’m the President of the United States. If I think our country is in danger, and it is in danger in these cities, I can do it.”
Ms Leavitt said in line with his remarks Mr Trump had immediately sent his thoughts and prayers to those killed or injured at the Minneapolis school and their families.
“The President also issued orders to rush into production a range of new MAGA hats available right now for purchase from the online Trump Store by anyone wishing to send their own thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families,” she said. (main picture)
“President Trump himself has designed the new hats so that the location of the next fatal school shooting can be easily inserted to ensure thoughts and prayers are sent to victims as soon as possible.
“This is the sort of decisive action Americans want to see in their President.
“It’s the sort of action our country needs at a moment like this when we should forget politics and come together to do all we can to support those affected.
“If only Democrats including corrupt former presidents such as Barack Osama Bin Laden and Sleepy Incontinent Joe Bidet had acted as swiftly and decisively.
“Their bloodstained fingerprints are all over this latest shooting,” she added without elaborating.
