MELBOURNE: Victoria Police say its officers were able to arrest early this morning the gang of far-right extremists attempting a repeat of their march through the Melbourne CBD thanks to a medical condition suffered by several of the protestors.
“We were expecting that this masked and black-clad group who made a provocative march through the city on Friday night would try it on again,” a police spokesperson said.
“Sure enough in the early hours of Sunday morning this lawless and offensive gang was back.”
The spokesperson said the first arrest made this morning was of the gang’s dyslexic organiser who posted a message on its website inviting members to the second “neon Nazi” march. (main picture)
“They thought they could sneak in another march under cover of darkness, but patrolling police found it very easy to detect and arrest them,” the spokesperson said.

WASHINGTON DC: US President Donald Trump says he will press Russian President Vladimir Putin for “a good deal” to settle the war in Ukraine when the two leaders meet in Alaska.
“I know how to make a deal – I’m the world’s best deal-maker in all of history, perhaps longer – and I’ll be making a great deal with President Putin, I can assure everyone of that,” Mr Trump said.
“But both sides will need to give up territory to make sure the deal can be done.
“I have my eye of several thousand square miles of land in various parts of what’s currently a war zone that I know will make for some great Trump International golf courses.
“I already have 18 first-class courses around the world, but so far nothing in Eastern Europe, so I’m keen to make a deal that can make that happen.
“In return I’m prepared to trade off the same area of land to Putin, and I have my eye on various parts of northern California that I’m sure he would like.
“It’s a ‘blue’ state which I don’t win so it’s a pretty easy choice to make.”
When asked if Ukraine would be at the table for peace talks, Mr Trump replied: “Who?”

LONDON: The author of a new bombshell biography of Prince Andrew says he withheld some details of the Duke of York’s sex life to protect the royal family.
In his new biography of King Charles III’s younger brother called Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, noted royal biographer Andrew Lownie states that Prince Andrew lost his virginity at 11.
“I knew when I wrote that passage that it would draw a lot of attention and reignite the whole ‘randy Andy’ conversation which really isn’t helpful in the current climate, given the ongoing saga about Jeffrey Epstein,” Lownie admitted.
“That’s why I didn’t flesh out the story about Prince Andrew losing his virginity at 11 by reporting the fact that he had his second sexual encounter at 11.45 the same day, and his third shortly after noon.”
