The No-Hope Dope who simply can’t Cope!

Some questions first.

If Peter Dutton had won the election and attended the G7 in Canada as our prime minister, would anyone at Sky LNPNews have described his attendance as “weird”?

If Peter Dutton had won the election and attended the G7 in Canada as our prime minister, would anyone at Sky LNPNews have claimed he was “embarrassed” when Donald Trump left early, missing one-on-ones with Albanese and other world leaders?

And if Peter Dutton had won the election and attended the G7 in Canada as our prime minister, would anyone at Sky LNPNews have described Albanese’s attendance as “a massive exercise of cope; it was weird?”

While the answers to all three questions above would clearly have been “NO!”, Albanese won the election and Sky LNPNews host Andrew Bolt has found much fault in his G7 appearance. Who would have thought, hey?

Massive exercise of cope’: Andrew Bolt rips into PM’s ‘weird’ G7 attendance. That’s how Bolt on SkyLNP News billed it.

A picture-perfect coping method, in fact, whatever the fuck that means. Bolt might be referring to all the images showing Albanese mingling quite chummily with, and having vital talks with, other world leaders and senior US finance people after Trump filled his diaper and had to rush home.

We at The Bug don’t mind Bolt’s unusual use of cope as a stand-alone noun – as a non-journalist Bolt is trying his hand at creative writing and you’ve got to admire him for that.

But if there is anyone in Oz who clearly is embarrassed and can’t cope with the result of the federal election and is acting rather weird over Labor’s Albolanche, then it’s the no-hope, can’t cope, Sky LNPNews dolt of a host Bolt who’s giving us a picture-perfect example of someone furious that he hasn’t been listened to.

And we are filled with hope that Bolt and all other Sky LNPNews hosts continue to rail and rant savagely against Labor over the next three years, ensuring a federal poll result in 2028 similar to the last one given the entire bunch at this totally biased, totally unprofessional, non-news, Fake Estate, platform are laughing stocks who thankfully are not going to change their ways any time soon.
