WASHINGTON DC: It has been revealed that a plan by media mogul Rupert Murdoch to pay a personal tribute to US President Donald Trump was hastily scrubbed from the program of the large military parade in Washington DC last weekend.
The parade, supposedly arranged to mark the 250th birthday of the United States Army, was widely seen as a taxpayer-funded indulgence by President Trump to celebrate his 79th birthday.
Mr Murdoch, whose Fox News network continues to operate as an arm of Trump’s far-right Make America Great Again movement, was reportedly insistent on playing a role in the parade.
“Rupert wanted to make sure Trump knew he was still on his side and that Fox News would continue to knowingly and willingly broadcast pro-Trump information and even promote disproved lies if they assist the President keep a grip on power while securing Fox’s audience and fattening it and Rupert’s bottom line,” said a source within the Murdoch-controlled News Crap International.
“The upshot was that Rupert decided he would dress up as Marilyn Monroe and sing Happy Birthday To You to Trump during the parade – repeating the long-deceased movie star’s famous smouldering performance in front of President John F Kennedy back in 1962. (below)

“But things didn’t go to plan, even though Rupert spent hours backstage at the parade (main picture) frocking up in a tight strapless evening dress, donning a big blonde wig, applying make-up and bright red lipstick as well as a fake beauty spot on his left cheek, and sticking on nipple tassels for his big topless finish.
“Unfortunately, when it came time for Rupert’s performance he was discovered fast asleep in the dressing room, clearly exhausted from all the effort which is understandable at his age which as I recall is about 119.
“In the end it didn’t really matter because, coincidentally, by that stage of the parade Trump was also fast asleep in the reviewing stand and nobody could wake him because everyone else was snoozing too,” the spokesperson said.
