Would you BUGgers mind terribly if we burnt off a third and final tranche of our Xcrements-of-the-(very past) week. No? Thank you!
We wanted to run them as most make reference to any possible way forward for the once-mighty Liberal Party of Australia. Well, we’re assuming it still has a pulse although the result in Bradfield, Sydney, yesterday might have silenced that! Would any of us ever have believed that the Liberal blue could disappear completely from the very wealthy electorates on the inner-north side of Sydney Harbour? The other side, too, for that matter.
We particularly enjoyed Xers who voided on the likely influencers of the LNP generally moving forward, and Stephen Mayne and Geoff Mason had Barnaby Joyce in their rectal sights.

Enjoy the moment, Geoff. The Beetrooter mightn’t be hung over on the Opposition backbench for too long if he and his good, life-long friend Michael McCormack can strike a deal.
And who else might play a leading role in killing, burning and burying this Net Zero nonsense and continue to advocate the excellent, election-losing idea of burning coal for decades for if and when nuclear power plants finally take shape? Take it away, Paula!

Yes, we know it’s an oldie but also a goldie in showing the most-likely-impossible task ahead of Sussssan Ley and David Littleproud in uniting a coalition so divided on some of the basics that powered the Tealtide in the first place.
And who else might there be to bring the LNP back to life? Of course! A future Liberal prime minister! Right, Aaron Smith and Sahar A?

And let’s end with a media theme to such matters, with Rohan Connolly bringing our attention to Steve Price and Andrew Bolt of Newscorpe infamy carrying on the noble fight that Rohan clearly thinks has been fought and lost.
