Is a Liberal revival all that necessary?

Like, for the nation’s future, like?

Before we address the question raised above, this second look at our Xcrements-of-the-Week needs to find out if David (at top and below) has quoted David Speers correctly.

So please let us know because we can’t be bothered to research that ourselves. But it does sound like something Speersie would say, right? What have we always said at The Bug? You can take the boy out of Sky LNPNews but you can never take Sky LNPNews out of the boy!

But while we’re talking about Insiders, our Xers voided pallet-loads of poo on how much time the ABC program on Sunday devoted to how the broad church of the Liberal Party, razed to the ground on May 3, could – well, Speersie and his panel were just about wringing their hands that the Libs MUST – find a way back into voters’ hearts and minds.

We at The Bug might argue who the fuck cares if the Libs can somehow reclaim any sense of relevance after the way they treated voters with absolute contempt during the campaign but let’s now hear from Anthony Norman, Nana Wildthing, etc, etc, Alex and Meow and Riff Raff.

Well said! This was the party that long before the election starting gun was fired was declaring on this very program that its policies and costings would come after the election. What fools they were, back when the polling looked good, to treat Australians with absolute contempt.

Let’s now take a short break for some bible lessons. Dr Russell McGregor was incensed when Anthony Albanese was sworn back in as PM for a second term and didn’t do it on the good book! Even used Trumpian CAPS! to make his point.

We at The Bug rarely interact with our Xcretas but we did send this bloke a short message hoping that he was a medical doctor who would therefore be well aware of the dangers of holding one’s breath waiting for Albo to do the right thing and resign!

Ivan Hanna, etc, has this to spray…

Now, this column rarely misses the chance to salute quality non-journalism so here’s Australian News displaying its knowledge of Australian political history.

TO BE CONTINUED: Tomorrow, is Jacinta Price the right way back for the federal Liberals? Does the grand old party of Robert Menzies need to move further right?
