Any one of you BUGgers out there wondering why nominees for our 2025 election campaign Goebbels Goblet award have all centred around The Voice referendum?

It’s no-brainer really. That campaign ticked the Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbel’s two main boxes: Tell a lie often enough and it becomes the truth. And the real biggie – accuse your opposition of the very things that you yourself are guilty of.

And who did all the lying in The Voice campaign and stirred up all the racism and division: the LNP and its two chief NO! spear chuckers – the black white supremicists Jacinta Price and Warren Mundine.

It’s that side of the debate that argued relentlessly that their opponents were the ones cruelly dividing the nation with their racist and ugly plans. The side who were trying to offer darkies something that us whities weren’t being offered! Gobsmackingly stupid, childish and illogical argument. Brainless bullshit that “White Lives Matter” morons love to hear. No wonder Tony Abbott liked that central NO! theme so much!

All that came from the NO-sters. Goebbels (pictured) would be blushing in his watery grave.

No doubt some of you BUGgers might still be wondering why Dutton has been nominated for this special award.

It’s true that Dutton largely – and rather cowardly – kept his bald head down back in October 2023, popping up only now and then to shout “If you don’t know, vote NO!”

But just this week he was at his Goebbelian best, blasting Anthony Albanese for wasting half a billion on his racist and divisive Yes campaign.

The one that if The Voice had maintained bi-partisan support that gullible Albo thought he had in hand and would have passed by a big margin until Dutton saw political advantage by running with his racist and divisive tactics. He’s been trying to damage Albanese and Labor ever since, with the almost total support of our woeful mainstream mediocre.

Another very solid reason for his nomination today? The racist, divisive, Dutton who wrecked a sensible and only advisory voice to Parliament that would have been very, very, helpful, is now crying crocodile tears over the latest Closing The Gap statistics.

Oh, Dutts. Diddams. If only The Voice could have come in as our First Nations people wanted by a huge margin. A harmless but very practical idea that definitely would have helped a lot in narrowing that gap on so many life markers that, you, Dutts-poo, suddenly seem to care so much about.

Surely Dutton must now have both hands firmly on the Goebbels Goblet? He’s going to take some beating.
