The Bug‘s first sniff at its Xcrements-of-the-Week will concentrate on reaction to the official launches of the two political groups keen to provide the next prime minister. Unless, of course, Trumpets of Patriots wins enough seats to make that Gold Coast racist sheila PM. (you BUGgers out there are now invited to insert prolonged canned laughter here or make as much noise as you can with clackers, kazoos, vuvuzelas and klaxon horns if you have them).
So seeing housing policies dominated both launches, our judges have highlighted the contribution (at top and below) from Robert.

Ouch! Also dumping on the LNP policy were Hardy World and Peter Murphy.

We should add that commentators (economists, industry bods) have found fault with both sides’ housing policies, with some saying neither addresses the supply problem as the root cause of soaring prices.
Commenting on general party launch matters, some chap called Mark Kenny slammed the LNP’s event and we suspect he knows what he’s talking about, Sleeping Giants Oz saw some fault with the ABC’s coverage of Labor’s launch, and Tony Shepherd had a humorous observation on perhaps how not to win an election!

The Bug has no idea as to whether the LNP’s welcome-to-country went without a hitch. (start up again with those clackers, kazoos, vuvuzelas and klaxon horns if you have them).
And Phillip Riley’s X dump suggests he thought the LNP launch had a fair bit of slapstick about it, while adding a nice dig at Scott Morrison! Remember him? Our heartfelt condolences if you do.

Sue Roberts took aim with something the ABC didn’t do.

We said we’d concentrate on the campaign launches but would you all mind terribly if we ran some Xcrement that plopped all over Peter Dutton’s personality traits? Take it away, Don Weston, GregMarSki chatting with himself and Eddy Jokovich on one charming aspect of Dutton’s general view on life…

Our Pete does love to get down and personal, while Aaron Dodd, etc, etc, Peter Murphy and Never Forget, etc, etc, took aim at Dutton who sees himself as a remarkably strong character who would bleed for his country and who has for many months now described Albanese as always weak and ineffectual!
